Sinopsis

Crisóstomo es un vendedor jubilado que enviudó hace más de un año. Su cumpleaños se acerca y su hijo Alfonso, junto con sus nietos Santiago y Jose María, lo llevarán de nuevo a su tierra, Huamachuco, la cual no ve hace más de 70 años. El viaje lo harán por carretera en la camioneta familiar y el abuelo les mostrará todos los lugares en los que vivió y la gente que dejó atrás para darles la vida que ahora tienen. Lo que su familia no sabe es que el abuelo tiene en mente mostrarles quién es él realmente, aunque esto signifique perderlos.

Crisóstomo is a charming retired salesman who was widowed more than a year ago. His birthday is approaching and his son, Alfonso, along with his grandsons, Santiago and Jose María, are going to take him to his hometown, Huamachuco, a place he hasn’t seen in over 70 years. They will travel by road in the family van and the grandfather will show them all the places where he lived and the people he left behind in order to give them the life they now have. What his family doesn’t know is that the grandfather has in mind to show them who he really is, even if it means losing them.

Director creativo y cofundador de la agencia de comunicación social El Directorio. Su relación con el cine comenzó en 2008, como segundo asistente de dirección de Claudia Llosa en La teta asustada. En el mismo año asume el rol de jefe de producción en Contracorriente, de Javier Fuentes-León, y en 2009 la coasistencia de dirección en La cosa, de Álvaro Velarde. Su ópera prima, El abuelo, fue premiada en el concurso de Largometrajes del Ministerio de Cultura del Perú en 2012, por el Fondo IBERMEDIA en el 2013 y por el Festival de Cine Verde de Barichará, Colombia, en 2015.

Creative director and co-founder of the social communication agency El Directorio. His relationship with filmmaking began in 2008 as second assistant director for Claudia Llosa’s movie La teta asustada. In the same year, he assumed the role of production manager of Contracorriente, Javier Fuentes- eón’s film and in 2009 he was a coassistant director on Alvaro Velarde’s La cosa. His debut film, El abuelo, was awarded in the Peruvian Ministry of Culture’s Feature Film Contest in 2012, by the IBERMEDIA Fund in 2012, and by the Festival de Cine Verde of Barichará, Colombia in 2015.
