Five Salvadoran women, street vendors and single mothers form a theater company and accept the challenge of doing a work in which they will bring their own life stories to the stage. What began as an experiment became their only chance to transform their lives, but will they be able to face their past and overcome their fears, traumas and secrets?

Graduada en Comunicación Audiovisual por la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid y con un Master en Cine Documental y Sociedad en la ESCAC (Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Cataluña). Inicia su carrera profesional en 2008 y desde entonces ha trabajado en distintas productoras de cine y televisión en España, EEUU y El Salvador, donde ha desempeñado cargos de directora, productora y guionista. Reside en El Salvador desde 2013, donde funda la casa productora La Jaula Abierta, especializada en producciones documentales. Ha trabajado para PBS Frontline, CCTV Americas Now y BBC, entre otras. Cachada , su primer largometraje documental como directora, fue ganador del Premio del Público en el SXSW Film Festival y del Premio del Jurado Latitud del Festival DocsBarcelona, y actualmente continúa su gira internacional de festivales.
She has a Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Carlos III University of Madrid and a Master in Documentary Film and Society at the ESCAC (Higher School of Film and Audiovisual of Catalonia). She started her professional career in 2008 and since then she has worked in different film and television production companies in Spain, USA and El Salvador, where she has held positions as director, producer and screenwriter. She lives in El Salvador since 2013, where she founded the production company La Jaula Abierta, specialized in documentary productions. She has worked for PBS Frontline, CCTV Americas Now and BBC, among others. Cachada, her first feature-length documentary as a director, won the Audience Award at the SXSW Film Festival and the Latitude Prize from the DocsBarcelona Festival, and is currently continuing her international festival tour.
