Erick’s life changed forever when he got into a taxi. The driver and two accomplices sexually assaulted him. On that time he was 17-year-old and he never went to the police, never saw a doctor and never told his family or friends. After feeling broken for 10 years, he embarks on a journey to recover his life, changing the world that surrounds him along the way.

With 15 years of experience in film and television, Mak CK is an award-winning director with film experience in 28 countries, across five continents. His debut documentary, THE MOST MODERN PRISON OF THE WORLD, about a fashion rehabilitation program in the largest maximum security prison in the Philippines, participated in the Crossing Borders 2010 workshop, organized by the European Documentary Network and the Documentary Campus. The documentary was part of the official selection at 18 film festivals, including the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival 2012. He received the Audience Award for Documentary Film at the Lighthouse International Film Festival 2012 and the Gold Kahuna Award for the documentary at the Honolulu Film Awards 2012.
